The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East is a UN agency that claims to support the relief and human development of Palestinian refugees. UNRWA’s mandate encompasses Palestinians displaced by the 1948 Palestine War and subsequent conflicts, as well as their descendants. Despite the wealth of there Arab nations it is the UN that keeps the grievances alive by never doing enough to lift these people out of poverty and into self-sufficiency.
